A Nurturing Community for Growth and Learning
At St. Patrick’s Primary School, Walcha, we cultivate a nurturing and supportive learning environment where students flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. Our strong sense of community ensures a feeling of belonging for every student and family. With smaller class sizes, we provide personalised attention, fostering improved academic outcomes and stronger connections with all members of our learning community.
Our Mission
As his mission on earth drew to its close, Jesus sent His disciples out with the words, “Go and teach!” (cf. Mt. 28:19). Ever since that moment, the Church has sought to fulfil the Lord’s command by educating all people in the saving message of the Gospel, and helping them grow in wisdom, faith and virtue as the foundation for a good life.
Today, this mission continues in our school through the devotion of parents and teachers who help our children grow, like the young Jesus himself, in wisdom, age and grace before God and before all (cf. Lk. 2:52).
Our Commitment to Excellence
Therefore, to fulfil our motto, we of the St. Patrick’s community strive to:
- Provide a secure, positive Christian environment emphasising Gospel values, encouraging a spirit of faith, hope, justice and integrity.
- Develop a knowledge of and respect for our Catholic doctrine, tradition and practices.
- Recognise and develop each student to their full potential: spiritually, academically, physically, socially, emotionally and creatively.
- Nurture an awareness and respect for environmental concerns.
- Instil a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline.
- Acknowledge each individual’s gifts, thereby fostering self-esteem, resilience and confidence.
- Encourage an awareness, appreciation and respect for individual and cultural diversity.
- Develop a love and respect for learning and achievement in all areas.
- Prepare our students for a challenging and changing future.
